Philosophy
In many
ways my design philosophy has been shaped by a rural vernacular
that exists even today in Eastern NC.
It is a philosophy that takes
inspiration in the materials, means and methods of those simple
shapes. We view each project as individual as its client.
Our ability to listen and hear our
clients allows us to interpret and shape the building around
their needs.
Yet essential to this design ethic,
in the world we live in, is a commitment to sustainability. Our buildings are energy efficient,
environmentally sensitive and materials used are ecologically
friendly.
A successful design is the synthesis of a thorough knowledge of
the client’s program requirements, skillful response to these
requirements in form and function, conscientious preparation of
construction documents and attention to detail during
construction, all within the reality of budget.
Our architecture is the 3 dimensional representation of the
thoughts, ideas and dreams of our clients within the context of
site, program, and budget. It is in this context that an
innovative response is formulated.
We take very seriously our responsibility to our clients and the
public and our philosophy towards design, which includes using
our creative ability, technical expertise and practical
experience.
Goal
It is our goal to provide our clients
with the best designs that satisfy their:
Approach
Utilizing a project team approach, our firm
provides comprehensive architectural services by assembling
the best possible consultants specific to each project.
Why Use an Architect?
Other than specific projects that because of
their use and complexity require the use of an architect,
working with an architect can be exciting, stimulating and
rewarding. Architects use their creativity and
resourcefulness in proposing solutions to client needs
through ideas and concepts. Architects with their technical
skills and experience can bring these ideas and concepts to
reality.
